Hello~

I’m Lisa, (or Woody), and I’m the creator of Ozark Carriage House, a showcase for local artisans, on-line store for glass & mosaic art, and educational blog.

I am a glass & mosaic artist living in the Ozarks. I share my creations and the techniques I’ve learned along the way to help new glass and mosaic artists.

My husband and I live on a small farm in Missouri. We recently built a large carriage house with a workshop and 2 cottages to accommodate our multigenerational family. This is the inspiration for Ozark Carriage House.

Designed & Handmade In House

Over the years I’ve transitioned from traditional stained glass work to primarily glass on glass, with an occasional cow skull, when I can find one. I use found objects, vintage windows, hand cut and kiln formed glass.  I’ve received some guidance from mentors and learned much through trial and error; I’ll share those tips with you here – everything from how to make “sea glass” when you live in the midwest to how to reglaze a vintage window to use for a glass on glass piece.

I’ve sold my creations on Etsy, Facebook, Craft shows, and pop-up boutique events. I’ll never forget the excitement of some of those initial sales (and positive reviews).  If you are creating with the intention of selling your products, I’ll have some tips to share for you too. Please…..learn from my mistakes.
